Tom Fords second coffee table book is just as stunning as the first one. Once again, the photographs are truly amazing. We also appreciated the personal anecdotes from Tom himself. They add a nice touch of humanity to an otherwise very polished book.

The reason 002 has more depth is because, in addition to the beautiful photographs, there are also interviews with some of Toms closest friends and colleagues. These interviews provide insight into the man behind the designs. We particularly enjoyed the interview with Domenico De Sole, Toms former boss at Gucci.

Overall, we would highly recommend either of these coffee table books to anyone interested in fashion or photography. They are both truly works of art.

Who Is Tom Ford

Tom Ford is regarded as one of fashion’s great icons. He transformed Gucci from a declining accessories label into what is now considered one of the sexiest and most desirable fashion brands in the world. His designs increased sales at Gucci tenfold and helped build the Gucci brand into the luxury goods conglomerate that it is today.

After his tenure as Gucci’s creative director from 1994 to 2004, Tom Ford started an eponymous line in 2005 that has become synonymous with luxury and wealth. Theres no doubt that Tom Ford is a talented fashion designer. His coffee table book is evidence of that. The book is full of beautiful photographs of his stunning designs. We especially loved the never-before-seen images from his private archives. They give a rare glimpse into the mind of a true fashion genius, the Ford wisdom.

Physically, we can appreciate the darker shade cover, which works extremely fine in most masculine living rooms.

We love the way that this book is put together, and the fact that it includes so many different looks for men. While some of the clothing may be a bit out of our price range, its still nice to dream! Maybe you are a British GQ international man who regularly rocks Fords creations and the sexiest fashion brands.

We also like that there are several different lifestyle shots included in the book, which really help to bring the clothing to life. Some of our favorite photos included a young Tom Ford with his mother, as well as a few candid shots of him working in his studio.

However, we did find the book to be a bit lacking in substance. There are no real interviews or articles, just pages and pages of beautiful clothing. If youre looking for something with a bit more depth, then Tom Ford 002 might be a better option.
