It depends on what brand of capsule youre using.
Some brands allow you to re-use the capsule once after cleaning it thoroughly.
Others require you to throw away the entire capsule every single time.
This is why we recommend buying new capsules whenever possible.
While recycling is a better option, you shouldnt reuse these capsules because of the presence of aluminium and because the used capsules can contaminate your new ones.
Vertuoline Vs Original: Differences In Brewing And Taste
The two ways that the VertuoLine and Original machines brew the grounds makes all the difference in taste.
One major issue with VertuoLine is that the temperature used is a bit lower than the temperature used in Original Line.
OriginalLine uses pressure, whereas VertuoLine uses centrifugal force.
Because the temperature is lower, the amount of oils and essence extracted from the grounds will be less.

Technically, you cannot use your own coffee with the Nespresso Vertuo. This is because the Vertuo machines brew coffee by identifying a barcode on the Nespresso capsule that you place inside the unit.
