The Day Before Your Exam:
Noon: Open your 64-ounce bottle of Gatorade and discard 10 ounces from the bottle. Then empty the 238 gram bottle of Miralax into the bottle of Gatorade. Cap the bottle and shake to dissolve the powder then refrigerate.
3pm to 5pm: Take 2 Dulcolax tablets with a glass of water.

Step 3 :
If you were told to arrive for your procedure at 11:00 am or later, follow these instructions the morning of your procedure:
At 6:00 am, take 2 bisacodyl tablets by mouth with a glass of water. Then, start drinking the second half of the MiraLAX mixture.
Be sure to finish the entire MiraLAX mixture.
- You can continue to drink clear liquids until 4 hours before your scheduled arrival time.
- Dont eat anything until after your procedure.
The Day Before The Procedure
Consume only clear liquids in place of solid foods.
At 3 PM: Take two bisacodyl laxative tablets with a glass of water. Pour the Gatorade into a two quart pitcher. Pour the entire bottle of powdered laxative into the non-carbonated clear liquid and mix well. Shake together and put in refrigerator.
At 4 PM: Drink half of the laxative mixture at a rate of about 8 ounces every 15 minutes. It is OK to drink clear liquids between. Put the rest of the mixture back in the refrigerator.
- 1 8-oz glass at 4 PM
- 1 8-oz glass at 4:15 PM
- 1 8-oz glass at 4:30 PM
- 1 8-oz glass at 4:45 PM
At 8 PM: Drink the remaining 32 ounces of the laxative mixture at a rate of about eight ounces every 15 minutes. Continue to drink plenty of clear liquids until you go to bed.
