According to Caffeine Informer, 16 ounces of McDonald’s regular coffee contains 145 milligrams of caffeine. Considering a can of Coke contains just 34 milligrams, that sounds pretty decent, right?;Not so fast… If it’s a bump you’re looking for, we’ve got bad news for you McCafe evangelists. The same size cup of coffee at 7-Eleven will net you 280 milligrams of caffeine, and a Grande Starbucks cup of joe packs an even bigger punch at 330 milligrams. Caffeine Content In Other Beverages
Coffee is not the only naturally caffeinated beverage that can be enjoyed at cafes across the country. You can also get your morning jolt from tea, soft drinks and even energy drinks, depending on your preferences.
Tea leaves contain a natural quantity of caffeine that is much lower than that found in coffee beans. Black tea has more caffeine than green tea, but significantly less than an average cup of coffee.
A brewed 8oz cup of green tea will contain approximately 29mg of caffeine. The same size of black tea will have 47mg. Therefore, you can drink significantly more tea than coffee and stay within your caffeine limit for the day. If you enjoy a latte, the Starbucks Chai Latte, made with specialty black tea and spices, contains 95mg in a 16oz Grande serving.
Soft Drinks and Energy Drinks
Soft drinks are made through a combination of sugar, carbonated water, and various flavorings. Unlike tea and coffee, soda does not have naturally occurring caffeine. Instead, caffeine is added to the beverage. The FDA limits cola-style soft drinks at a 71mg limit per 12oz serving.
Energy drinks are made in a similar fashion to regular soft drinks but are designed specifically to deliver a high dosage of caffeine. Caffeine content can vary significantly from one drink to the next, but you can check the label for caffeine content. For example, a 16oz Full throttle has 160mg of caffeine; a 5-hour Energy shot has 200mg in a 2oz serving.

Mccafe Drinks Are Not A Franchisee Favorite
You’d think that if McCafe drinks are pulling in $4 billion annually, franchise owners would be singing the line’s praises. That’s not the case though, and the reason actually makes perfect sense when you consider that McDonald’s is in the “fast”;food business.;
We’ve all been stuck in that Starbucks line that moves at a snail’s pace, and it’s definitely annoying. But hey, we’re all there for the same reason, and your specialized latte with 13 modifications is going to slow things down just like the ridiculous orders in front of and behind you. At McDonald’s though, a lot of customers are just trying to get their Egg McMuffin and not be late to work, and the McCafe drinks can make that impossible, franchisees say.;
In surveys asking what menu items should be cut, the espresso-based McCafe drinks got several mentions, and;Business Insider reports that owners complained that the espresso-based drinks lead to “slow ordering time, slow make time, and therefore slow service time,” explaining that “time-consuming products like this do not belong on McDonald’s menu.” And don’t forget the McDonald’s employees aren’t trained baristas… they’re managing your McGriddles and your hash browns, too. One franchise owner lamented that getting the drinks correct was a challenge, saying “there are too many ways to mess them up.”;
Maybe next time, if there’s a long line behind you, do everyone a solid and just order a regular cup of coffee.
This Mcdonald’s Snickers Iced Coffee Satisfied My Caffeine And Sugar Cravings First Thing In The Morning

If you wake up in the morning already craving something sweet to kick-start your day, first of all, same. Second of all, this viral McDonald’s Snickers iced coffee from TikTok needs to be added to your morning routine ASAP. Personally, I often wake up with lingering headaches if I don’t get some sugar and caffeine first thing in the morning, so when I saw this Snickers iced coffee hack that only costs $3, I knew I needed to try it.
While you may have heard of the Starbucks secret menu, it turns out McDonald’s has a few secret drinks up its sleeve as well, thanks to TikTok. And luckily with the convenience of mobile ordering, it was incredibly easy to place this order, and no early-morning human interaction was required. To start, find the McCafé section of McDonald’s mobile ordering app. Select Iced Hazelnut Coffee and your preferred size. I followed the TikTok to a T and selected a size large. Next, you can customize your ingredients: add one caramel syrup, one chocolate caramel syrup, one whipped cream, and two caramel drizzles. If you are brave enough to talk to other people before your morning coffee and opt for in-store or drive-through ordering, you can simply verbalize this recipe. At my McDonald’s location, they asked if I wanted to add any cream or sugar. The recipe standard in the app is one cream and sugar, so that’s what I chose.

Do You Know That Caffeine Free Teas Are Sold Widely
You can look out for caffeine-free label on the packaging or check the list of ingredients. However, do not be fooled by decaffeinated tea! It still has small content of caffeine, the methods of processing the tea leaves stripped away the minerals contained in the tea. There are few methods of processing decaffeinated tea, which not just removing the minerals, but can be harmful at times. The first method is soaking the tea leaves in methylene chloride to remove the caffeine before soaking in water. This method is banned in some countries even though it is the best for flavour retention, as the chemical is commonly used in industrial purpose like paint stripping and metal cleaning.
Second method is processing the tea leaves using Ethyl Acetate, as this chemical is naturally found in tea. However, the chemical is difficult to be remove after processing it, thus consumers complain of tasting chemical in their tea. Carbon dioxide decaffeination is the safest process by putting the leaves in a pressure cooker and the gas will remove the caffeine from the tea leaves. Still, it may not be extracted completely, thus, there are still traces of caffeine. And the last method is water processing, which a popular method, by soaking the tea leaves into hot water for a long time, and the water is send to carbon filter to remove the caffeine. The water then is send back to the leaves to re-absorb its flavour.

Folgers Decaf Coffee Caffeine Content
Like most major coffee manufacturers, Folgers offers a decaffeinated blend for people who are looking to reduce their caffeine intake, but who still enjoy the taste of coffee. But despite the name, decaffeinated coffee is not actually completely caffeine-free. In fact, J. M. Smuckers Smart Label website lists their decaf blend as 99.7 percent caffeine free.
By this measure, Folgers decaf coffees caffeine content in a 6 ounce cup of coffee would be about .24 milligrams of caffeine. This information comes from the Center for Science in the Public Interest, but may not be completely accurate.
In large part, this is due to Folgers not listing the exact amount of caffeine that their decaffeinated coffee still contains. In fact, Folgers and other coffee companies do not need to disclose caffeine or other nutrition information on their label, according to the Food and Drug Administration. Though this may not be an issue for most people, if you are concerned about how they decaffeinate their beans, you may not be able to find the answer.

Frappe Beats Frappuccino On Taste And Price
Estimates from; Fast Food Menu Prices indicate that the Frappe remains a better deal than the Frappuccino. A mocha, caramel, or chocolate chip Frappe ranges in price from $2.39 for a small to $3.39 for a large. Meanwhile, at Starbucks, a mocha, caramel, or strawberries-and-creme Frappuccino runs you anywhere from $3.75 to $4.95, depending on size. But to say McDonald’s Frappe is like Starbucks’ Frappuccino, only cheaper, then the Frappe needs to hold its own in taste tests. Perhaps surprisingly, the Frappe does just that.;
Even a devoted Starbucks loyalist at Gigi Reviews had to give McDonald’s points for its Frappe in 2010. The consistency was smoother and better than the Starbucks version, although the Frappuccino packed more of a coffee flavor. Cafe Mom declared the Frappe to be more like a milkshake than a coffee drink, but the beverage’s superior sweetness and richness relative to the Starbucks version won them over. Maybe it’s no surprise, after all, that one of the world’s foremost milkshake experts OK, “shake” experts;- got the Frappe right.
