How To Do A Coffee Enema
Take peace of mind that you cannot screw up a coffee enema! These are simply some general guidelines to help you get started. Youll get the hang of it!
Step 1 Materials
- Buy a 2-quart enema bucket or bag with a clamp. I think the enema buckets are easier clean but some like to hang their bag!
- Buy your coffee enema coffee. I really like PurE Coffee enema coffee. This special coffee enema coffee is different from regular coffee in that it is beige or tan in color. Coffee Enema coffees have properties more appropriate for enemas like more caffeine and palmitic acid, which make the enema more effective. Many prefer to buy the whole beans and grind their own coffee so the oils and other aspects of the coffee are fresh. Organically grown coffee is best to avoid introducing estrogenic pesticides into your body. Coffee is one of the most heavily sprayed crops.

Perform The Coffee Enema
Thirdly, now that the enema coffee is cooled off and you have your area set up and ready to go, now it’s time to actually perform the coffee enema.
You’ll need to transfer the enema coffee into the enema bucket of your choice. I used to use the big red rubber enema bags but they were hard to clean and because I couldn’t see the inside of the bag, I never knew if it was completely clean or not.
When I decided to change, I considered a glass enema bucket and the stainless steel bucket. I decided to go with the stainless steel bucket because it’s sterile, easy to clean, doesn’t stain, and won’t break like the glass one.
Before you transfer the enema coffee into the enema bucket, make sure you close the tubing clamp. You will only need to forget to do this one time and you’ll never do it again. If the tubing clamp is not closed and you pour the enema coffee into the enema bucket, it will go straight through the tube and onto your floor – a big mess!
Put the sieve on top of the enema bucket and carefully pour the enema coffee in.
Take your enema bucket into the bathroom and hang it over the area you’ve set up – no higher than 18 inches for best results. I hang mine on a doorknob and it works fine. The higher you hang it the faster the flow will be. If you find that it’s not flowing through the tube, you may need to hang it a little higher.
Now you can set your timer for 15 minutes and just relax while retaining the enema coffee as long as possible, or the full 15 minutes.

How Do Coffee Enemas Work

Preparing The Enema Coffee
Firstly, you’ll need to prepare the enema coffee which takes about 20 minutes + about another 30 minutes for it to cool off.
I usually start making it first thing in the morning, using a timer for the boil and simmer steps and then let it cool off well before I intend to use it around mid-morning.
You’ll need to have organic enema coffee, filtered/purified water, an ultra-fine stainless steel sieve, and a 4-quart stainless steel saucepan. It is not recommended to use an aluminum saucepan or tap water. The ultra-fine sieve is important because you don’t want to have coffee grinds in the enema coffee, which will happen if you don’t use the correct sieve.
Next, add the filtered/purified water and organic enema coffee to your saucepan, stir, and then bring it to a boil.
Please note that because I have been doing these for years, I use the “Ultra Light Roast” coffee as shown below, however, if it is your first time or you are new to detoxing it is recommended to use “Medium Roast” coffee, which is darker in color.
Once it comes to a rolling boil, set the timer for 5 minutes and let it boil. Once the timer is finished, reduce the heat to low/medium, set the timer for 15 minutes, and let it simmer.
When the timer is finished, remove the saucepan from the stovetop and allow it to cool completely before using it.
Trust me – this is very important. Do not attempt to take the enema coffee directly from the stove to perform a coffee enema while the coffee is still hot.
