Don’t Clean With Abrasives Or Steel Wool

Using abrasive cleaners or steel wool on your Yeti can be a bad idea because it can potentially scratch the paint off the outside of your Yeti.

Super light abrasives can be a good way to remove light scratches from powder coated bottles or cups like Yeti but generally speaking it’s going to ruin your paint or scratch your Yeti.

Using super fine 0000 steel wool or a magic eraser on the inside can polish the stainless steel well and help to remove hard stains.

As per my research, the best time to clean your Hydro Flask Coffee Mugs is when you finish drinking your coffee from the mug.

Just cleaning it immediately after you finish your coffee from the mug will help it remain coffee stain free and prevent any bad smell from the mug.

If you cant devote some time to clean immediately, then I recommend to clean the mug just before the next time you use to drink your hot or cold coffee.

Some might consider it dirty and unhealthy. You do not want that humiliation. For the hurry situation like this one, there is a shortcut.

Almost a similar method as before, just without the vinegar. Heres what you need to do:

  • Pour Some Baking Soda: You need to pour a little amount baking soda in the bottom of the mug. You can add some hot water to it. Keep adding warm water until the mixture seems like a paste.
  • Shake the Mug: You should cover up the mug with its lid and shake it properly for a while. Now you can clean the mug just the way you always do.
  • Repeat the Steps: Now, repeat step 1 & 2 until youre truly satisfied. Repeated cleaning with the steps above will make your coffee mug cleaner and stain will be less visible.

Can Insulated Travel Cups Go In The Dishwasher

Whether or not you can safely place an insulated travel cup into a dishwasher will vary by brand. Stainless steel ones are usually fine, as are ones made of really thick plastic. Generally, its the lids and seals you have to worry about in your dishwasher. If it doesnt say dishwasher safe on it, you might not want to risk cleaning them in this manner.

But handwashing them is quick and easy. Should you decide to chance it and place them in your dishwasher anyway, the most damage it will do is lessen the life of your travel cup. Your dishwasher will not be harmed by it.
