Best Coffee Shops In Salt Lake City
Ive been living in this city for 2.5 years now and I feel like I have a pretty good grasp on the coffee scene now. Theres dozens and dozens of coffee shops, I still have a list of places I need to try. However, I have already chosen what I think are the best coffee shops in Salt Lake City.
Ultimately, Im going to share my three favorite that I go to over and over. I will also share coffee shops that are pretty decent and meet my requirements for good coffee. I will not mention any that I did not like or would not go to again. That means if a coffee shop is not on here it is probably not worth going to.

- The nicest employees. Once I asked for something with cinnamon and so they just made me something. I dont know what it was but they were extremely nice and it was extremely delicious.
- Really great coffee. Hot, iced, or blended.
- A fun, clean, space, decorated with hawaiian flair.

Each Of The Shops In Town Has Its Own Identity Luckily All Those Identities Overlap Through Their Coffee And Delicious Food Each With The Hope Of Making Things Taste As Wild And Beautiful As The Utah Landscape
But as national trends developed in the late 90s, food was left in the dust of lattes and soy milk and the two went separate ways. Salt Lake Citys shops had to find a path catering to a wide audience where industry trends wouldnt work. Utahs leading coffee shops wouldnt have made it had they offered just coffee, like their influential out-of-state counterparts. Instead, the Utah coffee community embraced the partnership of food and specialty coffee in a different way than before. Luckily national trends followed, and now specialty coffee in a restaurant setting is commonplace across the country.
Coffee in Salt Lake City wouldnt have been a realistic idea if it werent for something as simple as opportunity. Whether it was a perfect location at the perfect moment, or the perfect opportunity arising from the kind of relationships this community fosters, coffee now has a stronghold in Utahs northern cities, and is slowly beginning to flourish statewide. Each of the shops in town has its own identity. Luckily, all those identities overlap through their coffee and delicious food, each with the hope of making things taste as wild and beautiful as the Utah landscape.

The Honeysuckle Coffee Co
Okay, we are getting a little dicey with the geography, but Id be remiss if I didnt mention Honeysuckle in this list. Technically located in Sandy, this shop specializes in house-made pastries and quality coffee from their ultra-modern espresso bar. Im very partial to any of the baked goods here. But the lattes are absolutely delicious as well.
Honeysuckle purchases beans from La Barba coffee. These excellent beans create high-quality espresso that is bright and fruity with no acidic aftertaste. Presentation is number one and as such they take time mixing and steaming your café latte. Perfectly steamed milk and a beverage that prompted me to snap an Instagram photo before sipping. This is one of my favorite cafes. At times the pastry is inconsistent, and I have had a latte with a bitter taste. But only once. Overall, Honeysuckle is worth a special trip. The latte there is one of the best.

Great Coffee Shops In Salt Lake City For Remote Workers
Ready to explore a new city? Get your work done while enjoying all that Salt Lake City has to offer. …
Its no secret that the urge to live in Utah is growing and fast. Last year alone, almost 35,000 Americans migrated to Utah 10,000 more than in 2020 and the most since 2005. The real secret is why.
Even before COVID-19 hit, millennials and young Gen Xers had begun swapping their busy city lives for affordable suburban adventures with the opportunity to buy a house. The pandemics spike in remote work only catalyzed this movement.
From July 2020 to July 2021, housing units grew faster in Utah than in any other state. Aside from its real estate value, a solid job market also drew people to Utah, which, with a current unemployment rate 1.5% below the national average, continues to do well. Then, statistics aside, theres the fact that the state is just downright gorgeous.
Of all the counties in Utah, its not difficult to understand why Tooele and Utah counties roughly 30 minutes from Salt Lake City are two of the states fastest growers. With the largest saltwater lake in the western hemisphere and a booming city with a mountain backdrop, theres really nothing you cant find in Salt Lake.
But if youre not looking to relocate just yet, theres good news: 85% of managers predict teams with remote workers will become the new norm. In other words, you dont have to move to Salt Lake City to get a good taste of what the city has to offer.

Salt Lake Roasting Co
When my kids were toddlers, one of my favorite destinations was the Salt Lake Librarys Main Branch. There wed spend a whole morning running around the grounds and climbing the walkway to the rooftop garden. But with each visit, I always made time to go inside so that, while the kids entertained themselves by hanging out in the ice cave or turning the pages of picture books, I could sit on the floor leafing through magazines, gratefully sipping a cup of Salt Lake Roasting Co. coffee. I recently visited this in-library coffee shoprun by the citys oldest coffee roaster, incidentallywhen I had some time to kill between meetings. I happily found it just as I remember: lovely house made pastries, a bright and clean setting and really good coffee.210 E. 400 South, inside the Salt Lake City Library Monday-Thursday, 9 a.m.-7 p.m. Friday and Saturday, 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Sunday, 1-5 p.m.
