How To Make Vertuo Iced Coffee
With a Vertuo machine, you generally get a longer cup of coffee. The dispensed amount can be found on the side of the box and on the underside of the capsule. I recommend going for a glass thats roughly twice the size of the drink you want, giving room for the liquid and the ice.;
Making iced coffee with the Tropical Coconut Flavour over Ice, I started with a 500ml glass. Roughly fill it with ice youre looking at around six regular-sized ice cubes . Adjust ice and cup size depending on the size of your cup if you use Vertuo espresso capsules, then check out my advice for making coffee with an original Nespresso machine below.
Next, put the glass under your Vertuo machine , and insert your chosen capsule into the machine. Tap the button and let the coffee brew as normal, over the ice. Given that theres a lot of ice in the cup, the hot coffee brews as normal but will cool instantly.
Once the coffee has brewed, youre ready to drink it. You may want to leave it a few minutes to fully cool. Generally, as the ice floats to the top, you get a warmer section at the bottom of the glass that can take a while to cool.
French Press Coffee Maker
You could also use a french press like I do. I just use the above recipe in my french press and let it brew in the fridge with plastic wrap over the top. Once its ready I plunge the grounds and pour off the coffee, its that easy.
This one is made with double glass which means its strong and thermal shock resistant.

Though, if youre a bottoms-up-in-three-gulps kind of drinker, this will not make such a difference.
Making The Iced Caramel Macchiato
The trick to this Iced Caramel Machiatto recipe is making the rich dulce de leche caramel syrup and layering the espresso and milk; its way easier than you think too!
Start with an empty cup full of ice, then add a couple tablespoons of the syrup. Brew your espresso, and pour it very delicately over the milk of your choice I usually go with 2% but whole milk makes this drink extra creamy and over the top.
If you dont have dulce de leche at home , simply boil a can of sweetened condensed milk for 3 hours in a large pot of gently boiling water.

Dunkin Donuts uses great quality, whole coffee beans for all its blends. It starts off by brewing coffee in a coffee maker. The hot brewed coffee is combined with sugar and half-and-half until everything is well-combined, at which point, cold water is added to the blend. This brings the brew down close to room temperature.
The coffee is covered and chilled; then, the glass is filled with ice and whipped cream if ordered. Dunkin Donuts does certainly also offer cold brew coffee in their menu should you prefer that over traditional iced coffee.

What Is Iced Coffee
Iced coffee is a chilled coffee beverage and may either be made by brewing the cup of coffee cold or brewing it hot and then cooling it with ice or cold milk. You dont have to wait for the hot beverage to cool down to room temperature before you add the ice cubes.
If youre using the hot brew method, sweeteners and flavorings are ideally added before cooling the mix down since theyre likely to dissolve faster in warm liquids. Sometimes, syrups may be used for flavor and sweetness because they dissolve easily.
Iced coffee sold in grocery stores is chilled to at least room temperature but you have to add the ice to it yourself.
