It only takes a few ingredients to prepare the Keto Bulletproof Coffee. Youre going to need the following ingredients:

  • Brewed Black Coffee. You can use your favorite flavor and brand of coffee to use. Its all a matter of preference.
  • Unsalted Butter. I know it might sound weird, but I promise the butter gives each cup of coffee the most delicious taste.
  • Coconut Oil. Choose your favorite brand of coconut oil to add to your cup of coffee with butter. It is keto-friendly and gives your coffee that perfect consistency.

Keto Coffee With Cream & sugar

While I love my flavored coffee creamer, if Im out and about, Ill also take my coffee with cream and sugar. BUT, all sugar substitutes are NOT created the same and some have carbs!

Ok, I know this one is kind of a no-brainer, but if youre wondering what is and isnt allowed for the Keto diet, here it is! Always check to make sure that your heavy cream is carb free. Some heavy whipping cream brands have a carb in them, and it just isnt necessary!

Whats best: try out which sugar replacement you prefer. For me, I really like Swerve. To have coffee with full cream and a little of this doesnt feel like a sacrifice at all.

Directions: Put cream and sugar substitute in the bottom of coffee cup. Add coffee. I know, easy peasy!

Tips:If youre at home, I love to froth the cream. Its an extra step and takes an extra minute or two, but to me, having that heavenly froth on top of my coffee is worth it and makes it feel like a treat!

How To Make Keto Coffee

Making keto coffee is extremely easy. Theres only a couple of steps.

Put all ingredients into a high-powered blender and blend until well combined. If you dont have all the ingredients on hand, then you may choose to only go with grass-fed butter and/or coconut oil, for example, with the black coffee. But the combo of all the ingredients raises the health quotient for this coffee.

Pour into your favorite coffee mug.

Sprinkle on a little cinnamon and prepare to enjoy your first keto coffee! If you need a little extra flavor or sweetness, you can add a dash of pure vanilla extract without increasing the carb content of the recipe drastically.

    No, sorry! Because coconut flour soaks up so much more moisture, you would have to make multiple changes to make it work.

    For the best texture and taste, its really best to make this coffee cake with almond flour. Be sure to use super fine almond flour like this.

    If you cant have almond flour, you can try it with sunflower seed meal. It might turn green and have a slightly different flavor.

    Light Butter Keto Coffee

    Be prepared! Once you start googling Keto Coffee Recipes youll be inundated with Butter Coffee and Bullet Proof Coffee recipes! Ive tried butter and bullet proof coffee in the past, but honestly, it never sat well in my stomach.

    Most of these types of coffee include a combination of fats like butter, ghee and coconut or MCT oil. The idea is that the healthy fats fill you up and boost your energy and brain power in the morning. Awesome benefits! But only if you can stomach it!!

    What I really like about this version is that its lighter and sits well in my stomach. It is light, but filling and tastes great!

    The only drawback to this coffee for me is having to haul out and clean my blender each morning. I cant seem to find my immersion blender, but if you find you enjoy this type of coffee, it is definitely worth the investment for less than $20.
