Nespresso Original machines generally only make espresso or longer espresso-based drinks. They usually come with a milk frothing option, or can be bought as a bundle with the Nespresso Aeroccino milk frother, so you can froth up milk to make lattes, cappuccinos and other milky coffee-based drinks.

Drink size options usually range from a ristretto to a lungo. Original capsules only come in one size and can therefore only go so far before the drink is too diluted to be palatable. In order to get a longer coffee youd have to use two capsules.

What Coffee Pods Are Compatible With Nespresso Machines

The single serve coffee maker market in North America is all but dominated by Keurig. Over the years, Nespresso Vertuoline and original machines have been gaining shares but still account for less than 10% of annual machine sales.

This ensured that not only were Nespresso customers purchasing their machines, they were also agreeing to the long-term commitment of purchasing more Nespresso product . But. . . as you’ll see in this article, change is a’ brewin’.

Best For Cappuccinos: Nespresso Ispirazione Italiana Venezia

The heart of the machine is a water tank where the water is heated up.

This water is then forced through the amazing coffee grounds and finally through the coffee capsule.

If the machine does not get cleaned regularly, the grounds will become too wet and the water will not flow properly.
