Where Can I Buy Flavored Coffee Syrups

All Flavored Syrups Are Not Created Equal

My 5 FAVORITE Syrups! How To Make Coffee At Home! WITH Flavored Syrups!

There are lots of flavored syrup products out there, but theyre not all suitable for use with coffee. Thats why weve taken time out to review the best for you.

Flavored syrups generally contain a simple syrup, i.e., sugar or a sugar substitute mixed with water and heated until all the sugar has dissolved, with added flavorings. Therefore, the final formulation will dictate whether the product is suitable for use with coffee, in cooking, or in cold drinks only.

So, if you decide to go off-piste and source flavored syrups yourself, youll need to be sure that youre buying the right stuff.

Okay

Why Mix Syrup With Coffee At All

Even if youre happy with your regular coffee taste, you should definitely give yourself the pleasure of exploring other flavors with the help of various coffee syrups that can change up the taste of both cold and hot coffee beverages. Whats more, syrups tend to add a whole new twist to the final coffee blend, which often means that it wont be necessary to add actual sugar or other artificial sweeteners when there are so many syrup options to choose from. Not to mention that its possible to choose a completely sugar-free coffee syrup if you need to watch your diet without sacrificing the rich coffee taste whatsoever.

The best coffee syrup flavors allow you to add just a dash to the beverage in order to get a completely new mix and successfully boost your coffee aroma. Its true that these syrups have a liquid consistency but even so, they dont tend to change when mixed with either hot or cold coffee beverage, thus allowing you to create your own unique blends and flavors in advance, and enjoy your coffee whenever you find appropriate without worrying about your beverage changing its consistency or taste.

Of course, you might be more interested in simply improving or spicing up your regular coffee taste a bit, but with the right coffee flavoring syrup, you can also take up the creation of a completely new and unique flavored latte, for example, thats perfectly customized for your own taste buds and sensibilities. The choice is yours and the options are endless.

What Are The Best Ways To Use Coffee Syrup

Coffee lovers definitely prefer their coffee taste distinctly. Some might like their pure black coffee as they want a strong flavor so they maintain the original taste by not adding anything into the coffee. By contrast, other coffee lovers tend to enjoy or create a special flavor for their coffee and this is only possible with the help of the coffee syrups.

For those who do not know what coffee syrup is and how useful it is, we will give you a brief explanation. Initially, it is a delicious thick coffee concentrate. It embraces either sweet taste for some people and to others, they might only simply find the taste reassuring.

On an important note, those who would like to try out the coffee syrup should know that it is not only used in coffees but can be used in a variety of things too. This simply means this syrup comes in handy if you can find ways to use it.

Lets not waste time and explore each way in the 10 best and interesting ways how the coffee syrup is used.

Too Much Sugar From Flavored Syrups In Your Coffee Can Lead To Skin Problems

Ever eat a lot of candy and break out soon afterwards? You may just get the same results if you drink coffee with sugary flavored syrups every day. Many flavored coffee syrups contain a high amount sugar. Monin’s vanilla syrup, for instance, has 23 grams of sugar per fluid ounce. So if you drink a lot of flavored syrups in your coffee and if you drink them regularly there’s a chance that you’ll develop acne or age your skin, according to Healthline. So, unfortunately for all of us, you can count anything with high amounts of sugar as one of the surprising things that cause acne.

Why? Well, sugary foods can lead to a spike in blood sugar and insulin levels. This, in turn, can boost your skin’s androgen secretion and oil production, as well as cause inflammation, as noted by Healthline. All of these factors contribute to acne, according to a study published in the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology. Likewise, when sugar and protein in your body react, compounds called advanced glycation end products form, and they may play a key role in skin aging, according to a study published in Dermato-endocrinology .

When You Add Flavored Syrups To Your Coffee Every Day This Is What Happens To Your Body

What Is Sugar

While there are major health benefits to regularly drinking coffee, what if you add flavored syrups to your coffee every day? According to a 2015 study published in Circulation, for example, the consumption of coffee is actually linked to a reduction in the risk of death. Why? Well, a wealth of research suggests that coffee drinkers may have reduced risks of cardiovascular disease , type 2 diabetes, Parkinson’s disease, uterine and liver cancer, cirrhosis, and gout, according to Harvard Medical School.

But while drinking coffee alone may have its health benefits, pouring additives like flavored syrups into your coffee can take a toll on your body. Sure, flavored syrups like vanilla, hazelnut, caramel, and pumpkin spice may taste delicious and make your morning cup of joe that much more enjoyable, but what happens to your body when you add flavored syrups to your coffee every day?

Adding Sugary Flavored Syrups To Your Coffee Can Increase Your Risk Of Kidney Disease

Not all flavored syrups contain sugar. You do have the option to shop for and consume sugar-free flavored syrups for your coffee. If, however, you do choose to go with a flavored syrup that’s high in sugar, you may want to be conscious of how that sugar can affect your risk of kidney disease, according to Healthline.

For example, Monin’s salted caramel syrup has 24 grams of sugar per fluid ounce, and DaVinci’s caramel syrup has 18 grams of sugar per fluid ounce. Pumping one of these flavored syrups or another syrup like them into your coffee every day can potentially take a toll on your kidneys. That’s because the sugar can increase your blood sugar levels, which can damage the blood vessels in your kidneys, according to Healthline. One study published in Advances in Chronic Kidney Disease found that, while more research may still be needed to be considered conclusive, “the hypothesis that sugar causes kidney disease remains plausible.”

Shelf life varies depending on brand, as well as storage conditions, if its opened or unopened, and if you are using a pump. For example, Monin recommends storing products at room temperature, avoiding high humidity, sunlight, and direct heat, plus capping or covering pumps if you follow those guidelines, the shelf life is 90-180 days. The shelf life decreases to 30-60 days if using a pump or pour spot. Torani also recommends storing products at room temperature, and they suggest using their syrup by the Best By data printed on the bottle, in order to guarantee the quality and freshness by that date regardless when the bottle is opened. Where Can I Buy Coffee Flavour Syrups In Halifax

Homemade Flavored Coffee Syrups

I am specifically looking for hazelnut flavoured coffee syrup. I got a different flavour at Winners/Homesense but I am unable to find hazelnut. Does anyone know where to buy it locally?

Coffee pro in Scotia Square has syrups, not sure what flavours though.

if this is the same as the place thats also in bedford then ya they have hazelnut, was just in there last week and they have tons of flavors

Starbucks sells their syrups at most locations.

Coffee Pro in Bedford or in Scotia Square has a huge assortment as well!

You used to be able to buy it at the Second Cup. You could also try Starbucks. And there is, or used to be, a store that basically existed to sell k-cups in the Halifax Shopping Centre, I think they had it too.

The store in scotia for sure. They are all things coffee, syrups, grinders, brewers etc.

Winners. Its always the cheapest. Flavors may vary though

Its not entirely uncommon to pay to add on to a cafes order, I did this a few times for customers when I worked at one. Uncommon Grounds might be a good choice, they get weekly supply runs so it shouldnt be a long wait.

Syrups can be used as a sweetener for all sorts of beverages. They can be used in anything from coffee and homemade sodas to your favorite cocktails or nonalcoholic mixed drinks. While once relegated to standards like chocolate and caramel for flavored lattes, syrups are now produced in a variety of creative flavors, many of which stretch the imagination and open up a new world of drinks to enjoy.

At its most basic, syrup is nothing more than sugar and water. Simple syrup is a staple for bartenders and is simple to make at home. You can even add flavor, though thats typically limited to easy infusions like fruits, herbs, and spices. These commercial syrup brands offer convenience and innovative or hard-to-duplicate flavors. They allow you to add a squirt of toasted almond mocha flavor to your morning coffee or create a guava soda without hunting down the exotic fruit. Many companies offer sugar-free, too.

Here, the best syrups for beverages.

Amoretti has an amazing collection of premium syrups that are perfect for any drink. The brand’s dark chocolate is wonderful in coffee drinks, the caramel syrups are great in apple cocktails, and the fruit syrups make fabulous sodas. How Do You Use Coffee

The classic use for coffee syrup is in a flavored latte, but you can add syrups to just about any coffee-based drinks. Start with black coffee, and you might find you dont even want to add milk or creamer or go all out with a caramel French vanilla iced coffee. Instead, you might discover your new favorite coffee.

In terms of what kind of coffee to use, aim for something mid-range as a base. Good coffee syrups arent going to mask the taste of bad coffee, but you also dont want to ruin the subtle notes of specialty coffee beans by adding other flavors.
