Overall, the Pritikin Eating Plan mirrors the plans recommended by health authorities like the Centers for Disease Control, and includes:
- Hearty consumption of fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and legumes like beans
- Moderate intake of fat-free dairy products and lean animal meat like fish, skinless poultry, and bison
- Little or no intake of added sugars, saturated fats, trans fats, and sodium

How Should I Use This Medication
The usual recommended dose is 1 tablet taken every 4 to 6 hours as required. If 1 tablet is not effective, take 2 tablets at the next dose time. The dose should be adjusted according to the amount of pain experienced. The maximum dose of this medication is 12 tablets in 24 hours. Taking more than 12 tablets in a 24-hour period may cause severe liver damage, and could be fatal.
This medication may be taken with or without food. Tablets should be swallowed whole. Do not cut, break, crush, chew, or dissolve the tablets, as this may lead to dangerous and potentially fatal side effects.
Many things can affect the dose of a medication that a person needs, such as body weight, other medical conditions, and other medications. If your doctor has recommended a dose different from the ones listed here, do not change the way that you are taking the medication without consulting your doctor.
Acetaminophen should not be taken to relieve pain for more than 5 days or to relieve a fever for more than 3 days, unless directed by a doctor.
Store this medication at room temperature, protect it from light and moisture, and keep it out of reach of children.
Do not dispose of medications in wastewater or in household garbage. Ask your pharmacist how to dispose of medications that are no longer needed or have expired.
