Other Fun Things You Can Use
What else can you use? Oh, we have plenty more to share.
Honestly, never done this one either, but we have seen plenty of adults do it. Make sure it is unsalted butter though. You dont want too much sodium. Butter makes everything better, doesnt it? You can flavor anything with it, so why not try a bit in your coffee? You can start small and add up to a tablespoon if you need to.
Using unsalted, natural butter is healthier for you and doesnt add anything bad to your coffee. It can make it silkier and smoother.
What cant you use coconut oil for? Cooking, body scrubs, and as a little something in your coffee. Its healthy, its natural, and its good for you. We always have coconut oil in our cabinet. If you have the solid form, just plop a bit in your cup.
Make your creamer
Its not that hard actually. You can do it with only 2 ingredients. You can use cream and vanilla, or cream and almond extract. You have to use it faster because you arent adding all of that extra crap in there. But you can also only make what you need.
Now, we are saying this to cover our butts. Do not do this if you are planning on leaving the house. But if you are having a lovely lazy Sunday, why the heck not? Grab whatever you like and add a splash in there. You wont even remember you wanted coffee creamer.
Questions You May Have
How much does coffee cost at Dunkin?
Drinks range between $2-$3. Theres no additional cost for adding flavors to a drink, and the frozen coffees are slightly more expensive than the iced coffees.
Does Dunkin put sugar in their iced coffee?
Yes, but not every location sweetens the iced coffees the same. Some former Dunkin employees report sweetening all drinks with liquid sugar while others report using granulated sugar.
How is Dunkin iced coffee made?
Hot coffee is brewed to double strength, cooled, and then the coffee is poured over ice.
Whats the difference between Dunkin cold brew and iced coffee?
Iced coffee is brewed hot, cooled, then poured over ice. Cold brew is made by steeping ground coffee in water for few hours, then strained. Dunkin makes cold brew in small batches and steeps it for 12 hours. The resulting drink is bolder and smoother and much stronger than iced coffee.
What kind of coffee is used to make iced coffee at Dunkin?
Dunkin has a specific blend they use for iced coffee called Dunkin Original Blend Iced Coffee.
Best Dunkin Donuts Iced Coffee
The Dunkin caramel swirl iced coffee is one of the classic iced beverages that wont soon go out of style. Freshly ground espresso beans blended with the rich caramel flavoring create a delicacy that is tough to sip as the enticing flavor makes you want to go back for more as soon as you finish with the last drink.
Caramel flavoring and sauce take the bitter espresso to the next level. Add some whipped cream as an add-on to turn your iced coffee into a liquid dessert.
This cool and creamy caramel swirl iced coffee will keep you going and put you in that Friday moodeven if its Monday morning and youre late for work.

The Best Ingredient Bases For Dairy
Ive tested them all honestly. I have even tested beans, quinoa, and potatoes! Spoiler alert: beans, quinoa, and potatoes didnt make the cut. But this is my ranking of the top 10 bases for your dairy-free creamer.
All of the tree nuts listed above will work in my Almond Milk Creamer Recipe. Just swap in your nut of choice for the almonds. Hemp seeds are a little different. For those, use my Hemp Creamer Recipe . You can technically use unsweetened shredded coconut or raw coconut in my almond milk creamer recipe, but I prefer this Light Coconut Creamer Recipe. It uses lite canned coconut milk, has the perfect creamy consistency, and a delicious flavor that isnt too coconutty.
What about Oat Milk?
Companies process oats in a way that helps them whip into a creamier finish. Its something we cant readily mimic at home. Oats are high fiber, high starch, and low fat, three key properties that dont naturally equate to creamy. Homemade oat milk is nice in some ways, but was inferior in body and taste when compared to the other contenders above. But go for it if you love oats in your coffee! Ill post my classic oat milk recipe soon.

I love this creamer because it only requires a few ingredients that you probably have at home.
As an added bonus, the creamer is naturally sweetened with maple syrup. And thats pretty awesome, especially if you want to sip on this in the afternoon without a potential sugar rush.

Jack In The Box Vanilla Sweet Cream
I really appreciate Jack in the Box for not loading its Vanilla Sweet Cream Iced Coffee with a large amount of sugar to mask the undoubtedly low-quality coffee beans used as the base for this drink, unfortunately, they probably should have. This coffee just isnt good, it tastes burnt with an overly blunt flavor and a sour aftertaste that will instantly curse you with bad breath.
The vanilla doesnt really add sweetness, it just tames the bitter burnt flavor and makes it a little more palatable. The end result is not horrible, but there is absolutely no reason to ever order this.
The Bottom Line:
The only time Id suggest drinking this poison is if youve woken up with a hangover but have a full day of work ahead of you. The caffeine will get the job done, but you wont enjoy drinking it. Luckily your head is probably pounding and your stomach is turning, so the way coffee tastes is of little concern.

Panera Madagascar Vanilla Cream Cold Brew
Starbucks needs to learn a lesson from Panera this is how to make a dark roast coffee. Paneras cold brew coffee is a bouquet of flavors with a bittersweet finish that makes drinking it incredibly addicting. The coffee here is rich and bold, with a lot of toasty depth and a sweet cherry flavor that is elevated by Paneras high-quality vanilla syrup, giving the experience a delicious dessert-like quality.
That probably comes down to the fact that Panera uses half and half in place of milk here, which makes the drink come off as noticeably creamier than the competition.
The Bottom Line:
Good enough to savor, Paneras Madagascar Vanilla Cream Cold Brew offers rich and complex flavors that deserve to be slow sipped on a relaxing day, rather than guzzled down before work. This is the best choice for the coffee drinker who loves and appreciates the subtleties of a good well-roasted coffee.

Dunkin French Vanilla Swirl
Dunkin is a chain that consistently surprises me. I didnt grow up with Dunkin Donuts, so I dont have a lot of experience or nostalgia regarding the chain as Ive always gotten my donuts from the corner mom & pop donut shop. I rarely frequent chains like Dunkin or Krispy Kreme but every time I try anything Dunkin related Im taken aback by the focus on flavor the brand puts into everything it does.
This iced coffee is definitely on the sweeter end, so its hard to really taste the coffee and decipher the flavors, but the result of Dunkins coffee base and their vanilla swirl tastes deliciously buttery, like a homemade cookie. Its a little decadent and will get you incredibly wired from caffeine, but Ive yet to have a coffee from Dunkin that wasnt an absolute pleasure to drink from the first sip to the last.
The Bottom Line:
It leans on the sweeter side so if thats your vibe, youre going to love it. If you like your coffee a little closer to black, Dunkins iced coffee is fully customizable, from milk choice to sugar and flavoring. Ive just never felt the need to go light on the sugar here when in Rome!

Im one of those Would you like some coffee with your creamer? type people. Coffee in and of itself is boring and bitter to me. But I do enjoy its benefits upon occasion. So, to enjoy it, I must make it palatable. Enter: creamer. And lots of it!

Making Your Creamer Base
Every creamerflavored or notneeds that signature creamy, indulgent base. Luckily, no matter which flavor of coffee creamer youre aiming for, the base stays the same and only requires two common ingredients.
To craft your creamer, mix a 14-ounce can of sweetened condensed milk with 1 ¾ cup of your choice of milk or cream. This is a 1:1 ratio of the two liquids, so if youre using a smaller quantity of sweetened condensed milk, you can easily calculate how much milk or cream to add.
While the sweetened condensed milk should always be included, you can play around with your milk or cream choice, depending on your taste and nutritional preferences. Feel free to use cream, whole milk, half-and-half, skim or 2 percent milk, and even almond and soy milks for different flavors and textures. While opting for cream will make for the thickest creamer, with a more velvety taste, it will also be higher in fat and calories than any of the milk options.
To combine the two dairy products thoroughly, whisk them together in a bowl vigorously, or add them to a lidded jar that you can shake well. Refrigerate your homemade creamer in an airtight jar, plastic container, or even a recycled leftover creamer container for up to two weeks.

Starbucks Iced Coffee With Milk & Vanilla
Starbucks is obviously the crowd favorite and Im sorry but, it earns its place comfortably in the middle of this list. I ordered my iced coffee with whole milk and three pumps of vanilla syrup which is the standard amount for a small sorry, tall and I was pleased to find that the drink had just a hint of sweetness, with the perfect balance of creamy flavors and bitter, chocolatey coffee. All of the elements of this coffee really work harmoniously, but the weakest link is the coffee itself, and when were talking about iced coffees thats kind of a problem.
Starbucks coffee just isnt very good. Its roasted to the point that the coffee comes off as more bitter than it should. Its a little acidic and has a slight chocolatey quality to it, but it just leaves your mouth tasting very flat and in desperate need of gum.
I also dont feel a very significant kick from this drink. Its refreshing, but doesnt really provide me with that jolt that I rely on coffee to provide.
The Bottom Line:
Its well balanced but at the end of the day, Starbucks coffee just doesnt taste very good. Its over-roasted, I realize Starbucks utilizes a lot of dark roasts, but this isnt rich, complex, or distinct like dark roast coffee should be its flat and harsh.

For Homemade Vanilla Mint Creamer Youll Need
- Heavy Whipping Cream
- Vanilla bean

When both have steeped, pour yourself a cup of cold brew, add ice, then drizzle in a little of the Vanilla Mint Creamer for a burst of creamy, springtime brightness.

Sugar For Your Coffee
You probably already put this in your coffee with the creamer, but just leave out that second part! Its an easy way to mask the acidity and bitterness in coffee, if that is not your thing. A lot of people load up their coffee with sugar, so just be cautious of just how much you are putting in. Need assistance on being cautious, check out Why Cream and Sugar is Bad For You. Did you know for ever 1 tea spoon of sugar you use, youre adding 16 calories?
Pro Tip: Add simple syrup to your iced coffees and cold brews. Simple syrup is sugar water, so the sugar is pre-dissolved. No more full sugar grains in your coffee! Its made with equal parts sugar and hot water. See a full guide here!
