Lets make keto friendly creamer for coffee!

  • Add almond milk and cream. Whisk in the almond milk and cream.

If youre making the pumpkin creamer: Add pumpkin puree and pumpkin pie spice.

If you are making chocolate creamer: Sift cocoa powder over the pan, then whisk in.

Heat briefly, just until smooth.

TIP: Exact amount you get from this keto coffee creamer recipe will vary depending on how much you reduce the condensed milk. If you reduce the condensed milk too much, add more almond milk and heavy cream at the end to get it to the desired consistency.

  • Add extracts. If using any of the liquid extracts, stir them in here.
  • Adjust sweetener. This comes out sweet, but not super sweet. If you like it more sweet, add more Besti Powdered Monk Fruit Allulose Blend and stir until dissolved.
  • Transfer for storage. I like to store mine in these glass bottles in the fridge.

TIP: Creamer will seem thin while warm, but thickens in the fridge.

How To Make Keto Coffee Taste Good Add Some Flavor

Now that you know the basic recipe for bulletproof coffee, its time to personalize it to your taste.

Here are a few things you can add to the above to make it taste like the coffee at your favorite coffee shop:

Add a drop or two of vanilla extract or peppermint extract, or a pinch of cinnamon or even some nutmeg to dress it up a bit. My preference is vanilla, but every once in a while I like cinnamon and nutmeg in my coffee.

To sweeten it with a natural sugar-free sweetener, I am loving monk fruit sweetener these days. My favorite is this So Nourished sweetener.

If you are able to handle artificial sweeteners then I LOVE the multitude of flavors they have over at Skinny Mixes! They have this nice Caramel Trio pack which has my favorite flavors in it! Take 10% off your first order by using this coupon code: KETOGENICWOMAN

UPDATE: These sugar-free syrups now come in a variety of non sucralose flavors! This means that coffee lovers can dress up their keto bulletproof coffee with natural keto sweeteners! See those here!

  • Grass-Fed Butter Has to be grass-fed butter. It contains much higher Omega-3 fatty acids and higher in vitamins.
  • MCT Oil Be sure to get a good quality MCT oil. I recommend using the brand Bulletproof.

Sure, you have to replace half and half with heavy cream. And you have to replace sugar with a sugar-free keto sweetener. But knowing you can still jumpstart your day with a freshly brewed cup of coffee certainly makes the keto diet that much more sustainable.

Black coffee, Bulletproof coffee, and coffee with heavy cream aren’t the only ways to enjoy your daily cup of joe, though. Letâs count all the ways we can enjoy coffee while staying in ketosis, shall we?

But first, let’s go over why drinking coffee is beneficial to your health.

Bulletproof Coffee Without Butter What Is Ghee

Ghee is basically butter separated into its dairy and non-dairy parts. Its heated to a point where the oil separates from the milk, so the dairy portion of butter is removed and whats left is the only the clarified oil.

If you have issues with dairy, ghee is a healthier alternative to using butter and is great for people who cant have or want to stay away from dairy. Learn more about Ghee here.

Keto Coffee For Weight Loss

Our keto coffee recipes can be great for weight loss. The healthy fats keep you full and satiated longer, while the caffeine helps to give you an overall boost to attack the day. Plus drinking a beverage can be easier for some people who struggle to stop eating once they have started.

High amounts of fats like heavy cream, coconut oil, and mct oil can also help with blood sugar management. They keep blood sugar stable when paired with a keto diet to ensure there are no quick rises or dips in energy. If you find you need a pick me up snack around 3pm everyday, it might be time to make keto coffee instead.

Is Bulletproof Coffee Good For You

Although claims suggest that bulletproof coffee may prevent hunger, support energy and be a weight loss alternative to breakfast, there is not enough evidence to confirm this. Moderate coffee drinking may have health benefits, although adding large amounts of saturated fat to your coffee may not be good for the longer-term health of some people. As a meal replacement, bulletproof coffee makes a poor nutritional alternative to a balanced breakfast.

If you’re considering incorporating bulletproof coffee into your diet, it’s worth checking that your blood fats are not elevated. The current advice for those with cholesterol problems is to avoid an excessive intake of saturated fats, including butter. Speak to your doctor if you’re concerned that your dietary choices may have an impact on your risk of heart disease.

Pregnant women are advised to minimise their consumption of caffeine and to eat regular balanced meals, so bulletproof coffee is unlikely to be appropriate.

Drink Ph Adjust For Alkalinity

To me, the most important thing about coffee or keto coffee with pH Adjust is not how it tastes or how it reduces hunger, etc. It is how is increases pH levels. Alkalinity is important for health. No matter how you choose to take or drink it, pH Adjust will alkalinize. In spades.

Besides coffee, you can add pH Adjust to juices, teas, smoothies, shakes, water, and even lemonade. The fact is, taking pH Adjust is more important than the drink you choose to take it with. You decide the drink.

That being said, I really like keto coffee with pH Adjust. I add ice for a delightful, cooling concoction in summer. In winter, I drink it hot.

I think you will enjoy keto coffee with pH Adjust, too. And, if you already brew and drink your own version of keto coffee, then increased alkalinityand better healthis as simple as adding a spoonful of pH Adjust. ~

Is Coffee Creamer Keto Friendly

Wondering if you can you have coffee creamer on keto? Its a yes and no answer. Many commercial coffee creamers are loaded with sugar and corn syrup, and many of the sugar-free options are loaded with weird ingredients. No, thanks!

I would much rather make my own so that I know exactly what is going into them.

What To Add To The Keto Bulletproof Coffee

You can keep your Keto Bulletproof Coffee plain, or you can add a few extras to it. I like to use sugar-free, keto-friendly syrups to customize the flavor. You can find sugar-free syrups in a wide variety of flavors, including vanilla, hazelnut, and pumpkin spice. While the coffee does taste good just as it is, you might want to switch things up a bit from time to time to get your coffee to taste even better.

How To Make Keto Coffee With Butter

Chocolate Keto Bulletproof Coffee

Making keto coffee is easy and consists of three easy steps:

  • Brew
  • Boost
  • Blend

BREW 6-8 ounces of coffee your favorite way. I have a French press pot and a Keurig coffee machine, but trendy pour-over coffee makers and drip machines work equally well.

BOOST your coffee by adding equal amounts of grass-fed butter and MCT oil . Start with 1 teaspoon each and work your way up to 1 tablespoon. I find that adding the fats to my mug before pouring in the hot liquid helps them melt better. Dont want to fool with butter and oil? Try adding heavy cream and exogenous ketones to your coffee for instant energy and focus. My favorite flavor is chocolate raspberry.

BLEND. Blending the fats into the coffee with an electric milk frother emulsifies the fat into the liquid. This produces a cup of coffee with nice body very similar in taste and texture to a latte complete with foam. Its utterly delicious.

The Verdict Not Enough Evidence To Support

So do the health benefits of butter and MCT oil mean youshould start adding them to your morning coffee?

If you drink coffee you might want to skip this trend, asthere just isnt enough research to back up the claims.

However healthy fats and oils do have a place in our daily diets, but theres no research proving that adding both to your coffee is the best way to incorporate them. Theres also concern that buttered coffee is very high in saturated fat and dietary guidelines advise people to limit their intake as they can lead to heart disease and other conditions.

So in the end, having Bulletproof Coffee on occasion isfine, but its not advised to make this part of a healthy eating routine.

Instead, focus on eating a well-rounded diet and incorporatecoffee sparingly.

Coffee Creamers And The Keto Diet

We already know that adding milk to coffee is a bad idea when youre on the keto diet. Thankfully, there are many great alternatives.

One of the best is a milk by-product, heavy cream . Heavy cream is the top layer of fat thats skimmed from milk before homogenization, and its low-carb when compared to milk.

Theres another benefit to consider. Keto isnt just a low-carb diet, its also a high-fat diet an important fact thats often ignored. And heavy cream is contains lots of fat, making it a great addition to a ketogenic eating plan. Be aware that its also calorie-dense, though, so it should only be consumed in moderation.

Many types of non-dairy milk are even better keto substitutes. Unsweetened nut milks like almond milk, macadamia milk and coconut milk, seed milks like hemp milk and flax milk, and pea protein milk are all very-low-carb. Theyre yummy too, once you get used to them.

There are some non-dairy milks to avoid, however. Avoid carb-heavy grain-based alternatives like oat milk and rice milk, and skip lactose-free, sweetened and flavored milks which all contain added sugar. Soy milk isnt bad in terms of carbs, but it may affect hormone balances.

What about dairy-free or non-dairy creamers? Good question.

For example, Super Coffees gluten-free Super Creamer contains both MCT oil and monk fruit sweetener plus added protein, just like the companys flagship ready-to-drink coffees. Its a recipe inspired by one of the crazes of the low-carb era, keto coffee.

It Increases Your Focus

A cup of keto coffee can help you turn your sleepy, brain-fogged morning into a laser-focused, productive drive so you can fully take charge of your day.

Grass-fed butter offers your brain a healthy dose of omega 3, an essential fatty acid thats known for its cognitive enhancing functions. MCTs in your brew also help to boost your cognitive performance by offering your brain another rich serving of concentration-improving fatty acids.

Considering the fact that the brain is made of 60% fat, adding C8 MCT oil and grass-fed butter to your morning coffee is the ultimate fuel for optimizing cognitive functions.

Sugar Alternatives That Contain Carbs

How to Make It Works! Keto Coffee

Lets first rule out two categories of sugar alternatives.

Natural caloric sweeteners, like maple syrup, coconut sugar and honey, are certainly sweet. Theyre certainly delicious. But theyre also very high in both carbs and calories, just as the word caloric implies. Coconut sugar adds just as many carbs as regular sugar does. Honey adds even more.

So-called sugar alcohols like erythritol, xylitol, sorbitol and mannitol are lower in calories and carbs than sugar, and do provide other benefits when used as sugar substitutes. For instance, they have low glycemic indexes, so they dont spike blood glucose levels and are safe for diabetics.

Thats why sugar alcohols are the sweeteners commonly found in products labeled sugar-free,diet or low-calorie. Theyre not really produced for the purpose of sweetening coffee, though theyre most often used in packaged and commercial products. But more importantly, low-carb by definition isnt as helpful to keto dieters as no-carb.

What To Add To Your Coffee

If you add anything to your coffee, you need to know what it does for you. Too many coffee additives are flavor-based only and are not very good for your health. On the other hand, these keto additions can make a big difference in your diet for the better.

MCT Oil

This is a supplement made of medium-chain triglycerides. These fats are easier to digest than typically consumed fats because they have smaller molecules. This is perfect for the keto diet since the purpose is to create efficient fat burning for higher quality energy.

Coconut Oil

Coconut oil is great for the efficient creation of ketones. A proper ketogenic diet must result in ketone production, so this is a big deal. Ketones are the ideal fuel the body produces when burning fat. Fats found in coconut oil can convert to ketones easily.

Grass-fed Butter

Grass-fed butter might be the best add for flavor. It creates a creamy flavor and a quality body but can also work wonders for your health. The additional fats can help you feel full longer, and Omega 3 fats can protect your brain health. One of the main functions of a ketogenic diet is to get the brain running on the best possible energy source, so it makes sense to protect the brain along the way.

Preparing Coffee On A Keto Diet

Its not the coffee itself that will interfere with a keto diet its the added sugar, sweeteners, and milk. And even as pumpkin spice season draws to a close, you can be sure another syrupy beverage will swoop in and claim its territory for a while.

Fear not: These four variations on a keto coffee recipe offer plenty of flavor without the carbohydrates and blood sugar spikes.

Instead of reaching for the sugar bowl and pouring in the cream, youll pair your java with ingredients such as MCT oil, coconut oil, ghee, coconut milk and hydrolyzed collagen powder.

Intermittent Fasting And Bulletproof Coffee Benefits

Bulletproof Coffee is incredibly popular among the beginners of intermittent fasting. Why?

In the beginning, it helps to stay full longer. That is why fasting enthusiasts use Bulletproof Coffee to prolong the fasting period.

But doesnt the high-fat coffee break the fast?

Although pure fats are high in calories, they do not affect blood sugar. Nevertheless, they represent a meal. And any eating affects insulin production.

However, in the case of these pure fats, this happens only indirectly. Therefore, fat breaks technically break a fast. Nevertheless, this impairment is only minimal.

Thus, by using Bulletproof Coffee during the fasting period, you will perhaps burn a little less fat.

But if you can only get by with black coffee for 12 hours, but feel amazing for 18 hours with Bulletproof Coffee instead, drinking butter coffee makes sense.

Regular Coffee Vs Keto Coffee

Bulletproof Keto Coffee

In its simplest terms, what is the difference between regular coffee and keto coffee? Nothing. Regular coffee is keto coffee. However, you can choose to supercharge your coffee by adding some fat. The fat you chose to add can make a difference in the impact it has on your body, but if you want a keto beverage, donât add anything to your coffee except fats.

An ideal combination can be grass-fed butter and MCT oil as it provides the highest quality fats while producing a nice texture to make your beverage more enjoyable. The main idea of greater health and energy is to live a better life, so if you can enjoy what youâre drinking along the way, why wouldnât you?

Another great way to enjoy a keto beverage is with a high-quality nitrogen-infused beverage. Quivr is the perfect companion to a keto diet and comes in a range of varieties. Start your day with your keto coffee and grab Quivr when youâre on the go. Whether you prefer coffee, tea, caffeinated, or decaf, youâll find something to love in our True Cold Brew line of beverages.
