Grinds Double Shot Espresso Coffee Pouches Thoughts & Recommendation
These are GREAT. Nice deep, rich coffee flavor right away after you pop them in. These arent super moist when you open up the can but I was shocked at just how quickly the juices started to flow. Ive had some pouch products that were MUCH moister coming out of the can so I was a little worried but that was quickly alleviated. Dont worry about it at all.
While I drink coffee regularly I dont consider myself a connoisseur when it comes to flavors. That said, Im picking up some chocolate overtones here which is really quite nice. Its tough for me to speak specifically to the caffeine content here as Im sufficiently caffeinated as I sit down to write this review. I would caution if you get jittery to perhaps start with one pouch as opposed to my two pouch regiment.
As with all Grinds products, theres a TON of super dark brown saliva thats produced if you choose to spit, but remember you dont have to. In fact Id go so far as to say youre not supposed to spit. The flavor of these pouches last quite a while at least 20 minutes during my test run. I will say that while theyre certainly a coffee flavor with these Im not getting overwhelmed by coffee taste. If you dont like coffee you probably wont like these but these are a strong recommend for coffee fans out there.

Through the years Ive done several reviews of products from Grinds and Im thrilled to be back this morning with yet another. Today Im taking a look at Grinds Double Shot Espresso Coffee Pouches! What youre essentially doing is brewing coffee in your mouth. These DOUBLE SHOT pouches have the caffeine equivalent of a 1/2 cup of coffee PER POUCH. I always do my testing with TWO pouches. This is an important note I like to point out for those folks who cant have caffeine.

Take a grinds coffee pouch and place it between your cheek and the upper or lower gum for 20-40 minutes. As saliva wets the pouch over time, it dissolves the caffeine and the vitamins in coffee.
Placing the pouch between the cheek and the upper gum where there is less saliva provides for a slower wetting of the pouch whereas, at the lower gum, there is more saliva that absorbs the caffeine much faster.
Swallow the saliva for a quick boost of energy. Spitting the saliva inhibits you from reaping the maximum pick-me-up benefit of the pouches.
Coffee pouches are housed in a can with a secondary lid inside the main lid where you can place the spent pouch and discard it later.
You may want to avoid placing the pouches between your lip and the front teeth as coffee can stain them and affect your smile. Remember that the pouch stays in your mouth for up to 40 minutes.

Grinds packaging has always been, and continues to be, a high quality round plastic tin. Theyre a little larger than your traditional Kodiak, Skoal or Copenhagen cans but there are no flimsy cans that will crush when you sit on them. The top of the can pops off for you to put your used pouches though Ive personally never used this feature. Each can also has an ingredients list and a best before date imprinted on it which I absolutely appreciate. Other alternative manufacturers should take note of this.

Im always looking for a new smokeless alternative out there and I recently ran across Grinds Coffee Pouches. Grinds Coffee Pouches are just that coffee in a small pouch. Each can contains 20 pouches and there are currently 3 flavors available: Cinnamon Roll, Mocha & Mint Chocolate.
Each can of Grinds Coffee Pouches contains the same amount of caffeine as 4-5 cups of coffee making each pouch roughly 1/4 cup of coffee. Im a 2-3 cup per day coffee drinker so this was right up my alley. In addition to the caffeine content, Grinds touts additional B-Vitamins and Energy when describing their product.
Initial Impressions I was very impressed with the packaging from a relatively new player in the smokeless alternative market. I was pleasantly surprised at how moist the product was. I was anticipating something along the lines of a Skoal Bandit but this was MUCH moister. The can lid has a built in pouch saver While the concept of re-dipping is super disgusting and completely foreign to a non-dipper, I think its safe to say that most of us have done it. If this is in fact a pouch saver then kudos to Grinds for getting it right.
