Why Does Orange Mean Decaf
Sanka, a German company, first brought decaffeinated coffee to the United States in 1923. When the original decaf coffee was sold in stores, it had an orange label to stand out on the shelf. Because of its recognizable branding, the orange color stuck around. The company even sent orange coffeepots to restaurants.14-Mar-2022
Nespresso Decaffeinato Taste Test
My Nespresso Decaffeinato coffee pods had dark cherry color and looked interesting. They are Vertuo pods and only compatible with Nespresso VertuoLine machines, so I brewed my Decaffeinato pod with the Nespresso Evoluo machine. My Decaffeinato had a lot of crema on the top, and it smelled like a good coffee cup. I judged from its color that it had an intensity of 4-6. When I tasted it, I realized it was a good coffee cup. Its first impression was pretty good, and I felt rich cereal notes on my palate. The cereal notes hinted at Costa Rican beans. My drink had a heavy, syrupy texture and a bit of Barley notes. It was not a dark coffee cup. I also felt a bit of acidity and bitter notes. My decaf coffee was round, smooth, and had an acidic aftertaste. I dont like acidic coffee, so Nespresso Decaffeinato is just a moderate drink.
I tried it with milk I frothed the 2 oz milk and added it to the Decaffeinato coffee. The blonde color of the drink was interesting. I took a sip and found that the malty taste had faded, and the woody and earthy flavor had become dominant. However, the drink was good and had decent flavors.
Nespresso Decaffeinato Vertuo coffee pods deliver smooth and well-balanced decaf coffee cups. Brew it with a VertuoLine machine, enjoy it hot or cold, and pair it with dark chocolate or fruit scones it will never disappoint you.

Health Benefits Of Decaf Coffee
Despite having been demonized in the past, the truth is, coffee is mostly good for you.
Its linked with numerous health benefits, which are mainly attributed to its antioxidant content and other active substances.
However, the specific health effects of decaf coffee can be hard to determine.
This is because most studies assess coffee intake without distinguishing between regular and decaf coffee, and some dont even include decaf coffee.
Also, most of these studies are observational. They cannot prove that coffee caused the benefits, only that drinking coffee is associated with them.

Is Decaf Nespresso Actually Decaf
While does contain caffeine, it is significantly less than a regular cup of coffee. For people who are sensitive to caffeine or are trying to avoid it, decaf nespresso is a good option.
This is simply coffee that contains no caffeine at all and has almost all of its caffeine removed from its beans. It is possible to use Nespressos decaffeinated coffee. The Decaffeinato range includes Ispirazione Ristretto Italiano Decaffaio and Volluto Decaffiaio. It removes caffeine without altering the taste of the coffee itself.
Caffeine is removed from coffee beans with the Swiss Water® Process. The process is gentle, but it involves the use of water as a solvent. Caffeine from coffee beans can be removed by using this method on a 100% basis. Because the Vivalto Lungo Decaffeinato coffee is no longer popular or meets the needs of the consumer, it will no longer be made by Nespresso. This decision is regrettable because it does not provide an alternative to decaf coffee drinkers.

However, Nespresso makes an excellent decaffeinated espresso for its Vertuo machine. It features a medium roast with a mixture of Costa Rican Arabica and Brazilian Robusta beans, which creates a clear and concentrated flavor with a silky texture.

Melozio Decaffeinato Taste Test
I unboxed my Nespresso Melozio Decaffeinato Vertuo pods. These pods had a copper goldish look. The red ring around the pod indicated that it is decaffeinated. It is a Vertuo pod, so I brewed it with my Nespresso Vertuo. It delivered me a 7.7 oz dark coffee cup with dense crema. The color indicated it has an intensity of 5-6. It smelled good, and I found a sweet scent. I took a sip, and it had a remarkably smooth flavor and a nice finish. As it is a decaffeinated pod, it had a lot of sweetness. The sweeter taste hinted at the blend of Brazilian Bourbon beans. My drink had a hint of acidity and bitter notes. Melozio Decaffeinato has more characteristics than Melozio pods, almost in a refined form. The drink had a smooth texture and was undoubtedly a nice, smooth, velvety cup of coffee. This decaffeinated drink is best for mid-afternoons or evening cravings. Melozio Decaffeinato does not deliver a strong coffee cup that wakes you up as it lacks caffeine.
Well, I brewed another cup with milk. I added vanilla syrup to the whole milk and frothed it. I added the frothed milk into the Melozio Decaffeinato coffee. I took a sip and felt honeyed sweetness on my tongue. The milk had masked its bitterness and delivered me a good coffee cup.
