Iced Coffee With Ice Cream Whipped Cream And Other Additions

As I mentioned, in the morning a good cold brew or a black coffee with ice cubes or a portion of milk is enough. But summer also means holiday ease, carefreeness and small pleasures. So, on hot summer afternoons we more often choose sweet iced coffee with velvety ice cream, a tempting, fluffy layer of whipped cream, cold milk, flavored syrups, spices and chocolate. Divine!I must say that in order to contain all these goodies you need a really large glass, preferably one that keeps temperature at the same level, so that the drink does not heat too quickly. Finally, cherry on top, i.e. an eco straw, and its ready!

How To Make It

Iced coffee is a delicious and refreshing treat, perfect for summer days. Making iced coffee at home is easy, and only takes a few minutes. Heres how to do it:

1. Start with strong coffee. Iced coffee is best made with cold brew or espresso. If youre using regular brewed coffee, make sure its extra strong.

2. Add sweetener and flavorings. To make your iced coffee sweet and flavorful, add sugar, milk, or flavored syrups. Start with a small amount and add more to taste.

3. Pour over ice. Fill a glass with ice cubes and pour the coffee over top. Stir well and enjoy!

How To Make Iced Coffee

Making delicious iced coffee at home is a cinch. Best of all, the secret to the best coffee is to eliminate heat from the process altogether. Cold-processed coffee is less bitter, and it allows you to control the dilution of the final product. We used Peet’s Baridi blend coffee beans, which are specially roasted for iced coffee, but any beans you like will do. Give the beans a few bursts in a coffee grinder, to a medium grind. Add 1/4 cup of the grinds to every cup of water you will use.

Add room-temperature water to the coffee grounds, and stir to combine. Cover with a lid, and leave the coffee at room temperature, agitating periodically, for 12 hours or overnight.

Strain the coffee through a coffee filter. Discard the grinds and the filter.

Meanwhile, make a simple syrup by combining equal parts granulated sugar and water in a saucepan over low heat, stirring until the sugar is completely dissolved. Allow to cool, pour into a bottle, then refrigerate.

If desired, dilute the coffee by up to 50 percent water. Pour over ice, and add simple syrup and cream to your taste.

Can You Turn Leftover Coffee Into Iced Coffee

Best

Fill an ice cube tray with leftover coffee and freeze it overnight, or make coffee ice cubes by filling an ice cube tray with coffee. What is something like? Coffee ice cubes should be added to freshly brewed coffee in the morning. With the cubes, you can cool your coffee without losing its flavor, as with regular ice.

How To Make Iced Coffee Step One: Take Care Of The Right Base With A Good Espresso

First of all, when preparing iced coffee, remember that, regardless of all the additions, coffee is the star here and it is the ultimate reason whether youll like the beverage or not. That is why we should pay special attention to coffee, make sure that the beans come from good roasters, are freshly roasted and properly ground. Equally important is the way we prepare it. Here, intense espresso from an espresso machine or strong coffee from a moka pot will work best. Essential, strong brew perfectly combines with milk and other additions, while still sending out its characteristic aroma.

Besides, if you do not want your coffee to be diluted with ice cubes, you can freeze coffee cubes in advance they will perfectly cool the drink, and make it even stronger. Of course, if you are worried that this is too much caffeine, reduce the amount of espresso.

Other Methods I Tried

If you have the patience for pourover, try flash-brewing onto ice.

The best iced coffee for you depends on what style of coffee brewing you prefer overall. Im an espresso drinker, so its not shocking that I love the methods above. But if youre passionate for pour-over, you may want to try Japanese-style iced coffee in your Chemex or other dripper. Moser recommends substituting about 40% of your water with ice, which means for 12 ounces of iced coffee , youre going to use 25 grams of medium-finely ground coffee, 250 grams of hot water , and 150 grams of ice in the decanter that youre brewing into. He sets up the weighed ice in the vessel under the pourover filter, then starts with the first 65 grams of water and a quick stir, waiting 45 seconds to let the bed of coffee get saturated, then adds 80 grams more, then the last 115 grams. The ice that chills the brew will also dilute it to its proper strength. The whole process takes about 2 minutes and 30 seconds. To be honest, its more than I can handle early in the morning, though the flavor does a decent job of capturing coffees refreshing, fruity side.

Caffeine is a natural stimulant that helps to increase energy levels and mental alertness. In addition, caffeine can also help to break down fat cells and spur the body into burning more calories. Just be sure to limit yourself to one or two cups, as too much caffeine can lead to jitters and anxiety. Making The Iced Vanilla Latte

Vanilla lattes are so easy to make and you dont need to splurge on an expensive vanilla bean to get good flavour with this syrup. Like the rest of the syrups here, the formula is pretty straightforward. Make a plain simple syrup by mixing boiling water and sugar together, then add in your flavouring of choice.

For this vanilla latte, I used plain old artificial vanilla extract but you could use the more expensive pure extract or opt for the vanilla bean if you can find them. But really, the vanilla latte is the easiest of all to make. Like the machiatto, start with an empty cup full of ice. Brew two espresso shots and pour them over the ice, then stir in 1 cup of milk and add vanilla syrup to your taste. Yum!

This system has a special function that lets you brew a single cup of coffee directly over ice … without watering it down. It works perfectly every time, takes minutes to make, and I absolutely love it.

I’ve also used my Ninja to make specialty espresso-style drinks like affogato and lattes. The best thing about it though, is that you can make everything from full pots of coffee to single cups … all without wasteful pods!
