Im all about updating graphics, so I didnt think anything about it until I drank my 1st cup of coffee out of this new package. This coffee is not the same. Not even close. I looked on the box and the new graphics state notes of dark caramel & sweet smoke.
This is not the original FRDR recipe. The original FRDR is intense & smoky. They have definitely changed something to make this coffee sweeter and leave a bitter taste in your mouth. The original FRDR that Ive been drinking forever was not sweet and never left a bitter taste on the tongue.
I like a good strong cup of coffee and the original Starbucks FRDR has given me that consistently every morning, never failing. until now. Hate to say it, but I will now be shopping around for a new dark roast coffee.

No, the Nespresso Pixie espresso machine doesn’t let you brew a full-sized cup of coffee like Keurig coffee makers. However, you can brew an Americano, which has around 5 oz of volume and is similar to a small cup of coffee.

Main Causes And 5 Solutions For Nespresso Pixies Failure To Pierce Pods
The most important thing for your Pixie machine is that the hot water must be able to enter and leave the capsules properly in order for Nespresso espresso to reach your cup.
You wont receive coffee if your Nespresso isnt piercing or puncturing the coffee capsules or coffee pods correctly.
A dirty pod holder or insufficient water pressure can also be the main culprit.
I have enlisted 5 main reasons of this problem along with their 5 easy remedies.
You can start with the first simple ones so that you may eliminate them first before addressing the trickier problems ahead.
Reason 1: Nespresso Pod Not Inserted Correctly
In most cases, the coffee pod is not inserted appropriately in your Pixie machine.
This is why the machine is not able to pierce the capsule properly.
Solution 1: Insert the Coffee Pod in the Right Position
In order for the pod to function properly, it should have its flat lid facing towards you.
The pods dome-shaped end has to face the machines rear.
Make sure the lever is fully up and open before placing the pod into the brewing chamber.
In the brewing chamber, the capsule will be able to sit appropriately as a result.
After that, gently pull the lever closed.
Make sure that the pod is straight and not at an angle before attempting to close the lever if you are having any problems.
